Mr. Kauffman is in his16th year at National Trail and 35th year as an educator. He is currently the K-8 Guidance Counselor, District Testing Coordinator, Intervention Facilitator and Career Adviser.
He began his college career at Manchester College where he ran the steeple chase for the Spartan track team. He then transferred to Bowling Green where he played volleyball for the Falcons and graduated in 1981. Mr. K taught Industrial Arts at Fort Recovery, Ansonia and Franklin Monroe. He spent 2 years at Dixie High School as guidance counselor before being hired at Trail. His hobbies include gardening, wood cutting and wood working.
Mr. Kauffman became a teacher because he had awesome teachers who made learning fun. His goal is to help students get what they need out of school to become productive members of society.
