Today is a Day

STUDENT & PARENT ANNOUNCEMENT

 

·         Congratulations to the boys golf team for winning their second match in a row last night beating Ansonia 223-242. The team was led by medalist Austin Knapp's 47. The boys moved their record to 2-4 and 2-3 in the CCC and are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to play Bethel.

 

·         The girls golf team continued to roll beating Bethel last night 184-223. Medalist Makenna Jones led the way with a score of one over par 37. Makenna Laird shot a season best 46 while Savanna Abner carded a 50 and Caitlin Gilland shot a 51. The girls are now 5-0 on the season and return to CCC play next Tuesday.

 

·         Good luck to our the Cross County teams as they race in Greenville tomorrow and the JV football team plays its first game of the season at Arcanum also tomorrow morning.

 

·         Come out tonight to support the football team when they face Arcanum at home at 7pm.  Advance sale student tickets will be on sale today during lunch. Students, buy your ticket today for $3 where regular priced tickets are $6. 

 

·         Today is the last day for FFA Members to receive a free t-shirt by volunteering at the Pork Festival. Please sign up today. FFA Members can still sign up to volunteer after today for the Festival but will not be able to receive a free t-shirt. 

 

  • No School Monday, September 3, 2018.

 

  • There will be a Senior Class Officer Meeting today in the high school office.

 

  • Attention high school students!  Fifth Third Bank is hosting its 11th annual College Prep Night at Fifth Third Field on the evening of Wednesday, September 26th. The event will provide you and your family with information you need as you prepare for the college search and transition process.  In addition, a pre-registered student at the event will win a $1,000 scholarship.  Representatives from colleges including Wright State, University of Cincinnati, Miami University, Sinclair Community College, University of Toledo, Cedarville, Xavier, Urbana, Ball State, Central Michigan, Northern Kentucky, University of South Carolina, and many more will be in attendance.  Register for this FREE event online at daytondragons.com/collegeprep.

  • Students who drive to school are required to purchase a parking pass.  These passes are available in the high school office and need to be purchased and placed in your vehicle by today at 2:30pm.

 

  •  Student Registration packets are due back to your intervention teacher TODAY.

August 31    Parking passes are due to secure a parking spot.  No student is allowed to park on school grounds without a student permit.

Sept. 29   Homecoming Dance from 7 - 10 pm.   Student must be in good academic standing, have great attendance and behavior to attend the dance.  If your student is struggling, please get them to ask for assistance.
