    • About Miss Poppa:

      • This is year 8 of me teaching fifth grade math at National Trail.
      • I have a bachelor’s degree in education from Miami University and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction.
      • Outside of school, I enjoy time with my family and my Goldendoodle dogs.

      Math Class Expectations:

      • Students will work in groups, partners, and independently.
      • Students will be expected to take notes.
      • Students will be expected to study at home for tests, with provided study guides.
      • Students who are absent or miss my class must check Moodle to see what they missed.
      • Students will be able to practice their math skills online using Prodigy, and have opportunities to be rewarded throughout the year.
      • Students must come to class prepared with a pencil and positive attitude every day.

      Homework:

      • There will be NO daily homework - only work that students do not finish in class will be taken home.
      • We will do all of our practice together in class, or students can practice at home on Prodigy.
      • There will be weekly review homework for the second half of the year to gear up for state testing.
