SchoolNet 8 Grant

In the fall of 2008 I applied for and received state grant funds to purchase 4 PCs for each of the 8th grade classrooms. These PCs had minimum state specifications of processor speed, memory size, hard drives, and monitors. I decided that instead of purchasing the 20 PCs through the state sponsored purchasing site, that it would be more beneficial to the school and the students to build the PCs.

I do competitive bidding with dozens of computer companies throughout the state. I originally intended to build PCs as we had with the SchoolNet 7 Grant monies. My best price was not for parts that year, but for prebuilt computers.
